Amelia Ampuero is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Duke City Repertory Theatre (DCRT) in Albuquerque, NM. She received a BFA in Acting from Texas State University. She studied with the Royal Shakespeare Company in England and worked with the historic Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. Amelia has appeared in over 60 shows playing roles as varied as a duck, a princess, an ablutophobe, a mathematical genius, a star cross'd lover, a fairy king, a fairy queen, a demon, a klutzy lesbian, an incestuous mother, and a Radium Girl. In 2010 DCRT launched its Inaugural season. At the heart of all Amelia does is Duke City Rep's mission to Serve the Audience.
