Black Eyed Susan

Black-Eyed Susan has been acting in avant-garde theater in New York City for over four decades. A core member of Charles Ludlam’s Ridiculous Theatrical Company since its inception in 1967, she has gone on to act with numerous important and avant-garde directors and theater artists, including Ludlam, John Jesurun, Ethyl Eichberger, Jim Neu, Mabou Mines, and more recently Taylor Mac and Stephanie Fleischmann, among others. She has appeared primarily on Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway stages in New York, but has acted in Brazil, Germany, the UK, and Yugoslavia, among other locations. She was also part of the cast, along with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep in the 1987 film Ironweed. Currently she is working with Mallory Catlett in a production titled This Was The End, which is due to premiere in 2014 at the Chocolate Factory in New York City.
