Carol Kearns

Carol Kearns is an arts advocate in her community, serving on the boards of the Downey Symphonic Society, currently in its 57th season, and the Downey Arts Coalition, a non-profit organization committed to the nurturing and promotion of local artists. She has twice co-produced Make Music Downey, a free, one-day, public music festival, and last year was co-producer of the play, Defying Gravity by Jane Anderson, which was presented in collaboration with the City of Downey. In between her board responsibilities, Carol writes occasional articles for the local paper, and, along with her husband, is co-founder of Los Nietos Press.
