RJ Maccani

RJ Maccani has played many different roles in social and environmental justice organizing over the past fifteen years. Intersecting with the arts, he worked as an Associate Producer and Story Advisor on the documentary film Slingshot Hip Hop (2008) and as a participant performer in Ping Chong and Company's oral history theatre work and documentary film Secret Survivors (2009-2012). RJ joined The Foundry Theatre over three years ago, leading production on the 2011 community theater festival NYC... Just Like I Pictured It and 2012 Dialogues This Is How We Do It. He is currently leading the development and production of a new work with poet-playwright Marcus Gardley, which will premiere in April 2014 at the Irondale Center in Brooklyn.
