Friday Phone Call # 44

Julianne Brienza of Capital Fringe

Today, dear listener, I have both a treat and a challenge for you. My guest is Julianne Brienza, co-founder and executive director of the Capital Fringe in Washington, DC. That's the treat. The challenge is that I had to record the call from my cell phone sitting outside in a flight path with her Skyping from Stockholm. So the connection is maddening, though the quality of the conversation is sparkling. I love the way Julianne's thinking about this stuff is so at one with the whole energy of Fringe in general. Lots of great stuff in this one. And the Capital Fringe is coming off a banner year, with their Fall season coming up right around the corner. Bright spots and shout outs galore in the very spirit of Fringe.

Listen to weekly podcasts hosted by David Dower as he interviews theater artists from around the country to highlight #newplay bright spots. You can subscribe to the series via iTunes or this RSS Feed (for Android phones).
