Allen is the founding Artistic Director of the renowned Icicle Creek Theatre Festival for new play development. For six years, he has worked mainly as a Seattle-based director and actor. Allen appeared on Broadway in Les MisŽrables, Memphis, Driving Miss Daisy, 42nd Street, Sweet Smell of Success, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Damn Yankees, and Passion. His Off-Broadway appearances include Jack's Holiday, Annie Warbucks, The Rothschilds, and Wonderful Town.
