Daniel Burmester is the Production manager of Emerson Stage at Emerson College. Last summer he served as Shawn LaCount’s Asst. Director for Company One’s award winning production of The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety. Before Boston, Daniel served as Head of Theater Arts at Vermont Academy where he taught and managed the theatre program. In 2004, Daniel was Co-Founder and Production Manager of the Theatre Company GUTWorks, which he created with his partners Kali Quinn and Jonathan Maloney, together they produced plays by Ross Mueller, Frank South, and Kali Quinn in venues such as HERE Arts Center, Three Legged Dog, P.S. 122 and many others. Daniel served on the teaching faculty at New England Youth Theatre in Brattleboro Vermont. He has also worn many technician hats at Theatres such as Second Stage Theatre, The Kitchen Theatre and has worked as an Events Coordinator for SBI special events company in NYC. Daniel was the production asst. on the Tony award-winning Metamorphoses in 2002. Daniel holds a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts from SUNY New Paltz and has recently been accepted into the Graduate Program for Theatre Education at Emerson College.
