Will MacAdams is a community-based director and playwright who teaches theater for social change at Hampshire College.

Will MacAdams is a playwright and director who has worked in theater in Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and across the United States. Past projects include: Toto Kisaku’s "Requiem for an Electric Chair" (International Festival of Arts & Ideas, dramaturg / co-director); "Flor," created in collaboration with farming communities in the California Central Valley (Cornerstone Theater, playwright); Peter Handke's "Kaspar," which he directed in Johannesburg at the brink of the post-Apartheid era; "Eye to Eye," a collaboration with young people and future police officers from New Haven, CT; and "Gasping Whiteness" (New England living room tour, 2019) which explores how white supremacy is expressed in progressive, middle class parenting while raising funds for people of color-led organizing work.
