Theatre and Power was an insight into how the new articulations of theatrical practice are received by the state authorities, and their counter-effects on artistic work, with regard to the visible and invisible tendencies in Eastern and Central Europe.

Featuring Romanian critic, editor, and curator Iulia Popovici; Polish art historian, cultural manager and curator Grzegorz Reske; and Hungarian critic and editor Judit Csáki.

dunaPart – Platform of Hungarian Performing Arts is an initiative of Trafó House of Contemporary Arts in Budapest. dunaPart is organized biannually presenting the most interesting productions and initiatives from the independent theatre and dance field from Hungary. The selection is done by Hungarian dance and theatre critiques and professionals. Theatre and dance programmes run parallel in the four days presenting 30 performances all in all.

dunaPart's objective is to present the outstanding representatives and the upcoming new generation of the independent Hungarian performing arts scene, to help them and the whole field in their further integration in the international professional network. Furthermore, its ambition is to offer a platform to the Hungarian independent field to internationalize their work, and to seek new opportunities for collaboration to be able to work in a more diverse context.

The current edition, the 4th platform of dunaPart takes place 29 November – 2 December 2017.
