Max Alvarez

Max Alvarez is an educator, author, and public speaker, who has presented over 200 lectures, seminars, and events on world culture. A former Smithsonian Institution Visiting Scholar, he has worked as a film/theatre critic and museum programmer. His presentation partnerships include the Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, City University of New York, Fulbright Scholars Program, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. His articles have appeared in Chicago TribuneThe Milwaukee Journal, and Film History: An International Journal. He is author of The Crime Films of Anthony Mann and a contributor to Thornton Wilder/New Perspectives.
