Brian Sonia-Wallace is a Los Angeles-based artist and cultural commentator with a background in community development and devised theatre. BHis cultural criticism has appeared in HowlRound, Unframed (LACMA’s blog), ArtsBeatLA, Latino Producers’ Action Network, LA Theatre Review, and others. rian is the 4th Poet Laureate of West Hollywood, and has been writer-in-residence for Amtrak, Mall of America, and the National Parks. He is the author of The Poetry of Strangers (Harper Collins) and his work has been published in The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and American Poets. He teaches at the UCLA Extension Writers' Program and holds an MA in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
