Caridad Svich

Caridad Svich is a text-builder and theatremaker. She received the 2012 OBIE for Lifetime Achievement, and the 2011 American Theatre Critics Association Primus Prize for The House of the Spirits (based on Isabel Allende's novel). She has written over forty plays, among them: Alchemy of Desire/Dead-Mans's Blues, 12 Ophelias, Iphigenia Crash Land Falls..., and The Way of Water. This spring Corazon Eterno (always in my heart) and De Troya premiere at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis and Cara Mia Theatre in Dallas, respectively. A collection of her works JARMAN (all this maddening beauty) and other plays was published by Intellect UK (2016). She is editor of several books on theatre, including Innovation in Five Acts and Audience Revolution, both for TCG.
