Christopher White

Christopher W. White is a performance and theater artist, puppeteer, musician, and writer. He's the co-founder and artistic director of Mugwumpin, a San Francisco performance company. Most recent work with Mugwumpin: directing their epic dissection of prophecy in America, The Great Big Also. He recently originated the role of Lance in Richard Montoya's The River with Campo Santo.

He has worked with the Magic Theater, Shotgun Players, foolsFURY, Lunatique Fantastique, the SF Opera, and others. In Dublin, Ireland, White served as Play Director in Residence and, later, Script Development Officer at Project Arts Centre, as well as directing several works at Project and various Dublin companies. His articles have appeared in American Theater Magazine, Theater, TheatreForum and HowlRound.com. MFA in Lecoq Based Actor-Created Theater: Naropa University/London International School of the Performing Arts; BA: Yale University.
