Nan Barnett is an advocate for theater-makers and the theater they make. She is the Executive Director of National New Play Network, an alliance of more than 100 theaters with a dedication to the development, production, and continued life of new plays, and a focus on the innovation and implementation of new forms of communication and collaboration for the new play field. She is a recovering actor and LORT Managing Director, and is the Coordinating Producer for International Women’s Voices Day and the Women’s Voices Theater Festival in the Washington, DC region, where she currently resides.
