Theatre Development Fund and Theatre Bay Area presented a discussion about the findings of their multiyear research project Triple Play livestreaming on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Monday 20 November at 6:30 p.m. EST (Boston) / 5:30 p.m. CST (Chicago) / 3:30 p.m. PST (San Francisco).
This study has examined the triangular relationship between playwrights, audience members, and theatres to try to uncover ways that we can increase the number of folks who attend new work. Over the past three years, over 70 playwrights and 54 theatres have talked to 350 single ticket buyers in hour-long conversations, and another 7200 ticket buyers were surveys.
Tory Bailey and Brad Erickson presented the findings of the study and engage with questions and comments from the local Boston audience.
