Liminal Space in London presented a staged reading of Sket by Maya Sondhi livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Monday 24 March 2014 at 12:30 p.m. PDT (Vancouver)/ 2:30 p.m. CDT (Chicago)/ 3:30 p.m. EDT (Toronto)/ 7:30 p.m. GMT (London)/ 8:30 p.m. CET (Berlin).

 

The play Sket explores the lives of inner city teenagers as they navigate the confusing issues of sex, relationships, and self image through Social Media.

Maya Sondhi is a writer and actress who has completed writing on the new series of The Kumars produced by Hat Trick on Sky 1. As an actress, Maya trained at LAMDA and has recently appeared in Series 2 of BBC 1 sitcom Citizen Khan as Shazia Khan. She will be conducting a Q&A after the reading.

The reading took place at Burrell St. Sexual Health Clinic, 4-5 Burell St, London SE1 0UN and was a fundraising event for Brook which is a UK provider of sexual health services and advice for young people under 25.
