The Boston Creates Town Hall by the City of Boston

The City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture presented the Boston Creates Town Hall livestreamed on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Monday 28 March at 6 p.m. EDT / 3 p.m. PDT / 22:00 GMT.

The Boston Creates Town Hall is the third large public event in Boston's cultural planning process. Over the past four months, the Boston Creates team has reviewed and analyzed the data collected from the community engagement phase of the cultural planning process and the feedback given from the community at the Town Hall in November. Using this data, the team has worked closely with the Boston Creates Steering Committee and Leadership Council to develop the goals and strategies that will shape Boston's cultural plan. In the Town Hall, Julie Burros, Boston’s Chief of Arts & Culture, will present the overarching goals of the plan and the identified strategies and select tactics to achieve these goals. 

Boston Creates is Boston's cultural planning process, designed to create a long-term plan to prioritize, coordinate, and align public and private resources to strengthen cultural vitality in the City. The Cultural Plan is expected to be complete in June 2016.
