Aaron Greene

Aaron Greene is an international theater artist, arts educator, film producer, and writer. He is a member of The Bricklayers Theater Company. He has lived and worked in Boston, New York City, Deadwood South Dakota, Martha’s Vineyard, Maryland, Singapore, Buenos Aires, and Reggio Emilia Italy. He recently returned from touring the new ‘theater of the oppressed meets slapstick’ mask play “Don Juan In Vegas,” which he created with Kyle Cadotte and Matt Trucano for their company. The piece was work-shopped in Deadwood SD, and toured from September to November across the upper Midwest, specifically in theatrically under served communities. Prior to that he taught speech and drama at Centre Stage School for the Arts as well as creating theater arts lessons for working professionals including The Singapore FOM.  He holds a BFA in Theater Studies from Boston University. www.jonagreene.wordpress.com. www.bricklayerstheatre.org

Theater for Young Audiences, America, and the Two Plutos

I have to wonder why Berliners are willing to bring their children to film or theater like "Pluto". Why are they more apt to present for their children’s consideration an unvarnished exploration of what is dark and hard in the world, and Americans are not?
