Abby Schroering (she/her) is a Kentucky born, New York based writer and educator. She has a Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance from Columbia University, and you can find her writing in American Theatre Magazine, Public Books, and several academic outlets. Her forthcoming book, Theatres of Compost: Performance and Ecology for the Anthropocene, shows how performance is an ecological force with the capacity to deconstruct exploitative social processes and plant the seeds of a more just and sustainable future.
