Amanda Friou

Amanda Friou is a Brooklyn based director and multidisciplinary artist. She has worked on pieces nationally at ART, La Jolla, CTG, The Guthrie, Geva Theatre Center, and the University of Iowa, and in NYC at Ars Nova, NYU, HERE, and Second Stage. Amanda was Director of Education at Barrington Stage and has built puppets for Basil Twist.  She is currently developing a live theatre/puppetry hybrid with playwright Sukari Jones, and is directing a new play by Emily Dendinger for the Sam French OOB Festival. She is an alum of Macalester College and the Drama League Director's Project. Member SDC.
