Brandice Thompson

Brandice Thompson is a self-generative artist, educator, and director specializing in ensemble-based devising processes and physical theatre. She has a special interest in Eastern European theatre and is currently the project manager at the Center for International Theatre Development.

Brandice is a self-generative artist and educator from the Pacific Northwest. Her creative process and training methods incorporate many facets of theatre including ensemble devising practices, physical theatre, cabaret, Commedia Dell'Arte, Stanislavski techniques, ritual theatre, somatic movement, and more. Currently, she resides in Baltimore where she creates original theatrical work and is pursuing an interest in Eastern European theatre through her role as project manager at the Center for International Theatre Development (CITD).

Polish Connections: A New Generation of Theatre Linkages Between the United States and Poland

For the past two years, LINKAGES: Poland has convened theatre leaders from Poland and the United States to discuss fieldwide issues. When three theatremakers who have been deeply involved in the project traveled from the United States to Poland this summer, they were struck by the changing landscape of Polish theatre and its parallels to the US theatre industry.
