Ionuț Caras is an actor at the National Theatre from Cluj-napoca, Romania and a former lecturer and PhD student at the Theatre and Film Faculty, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj. 

He has an BA in Acting and he has performed in more than 60 productions in the 20 years since he joined the company of National Theatre.  

In addition to his intense activity as an actor, his artistic activity also includes the mentoring of five generations of students at the Faculty of Theatre and Film from Cluj.                                                            

He continues to develop educational and artistic projects and he is the initiator and coordinator of a unique project in Romania - Great Textes in Crazy Places - whose aim is to transform lesser known literary texts into theatre performances in unconventional spaces.
