Claire Syler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Missouri, US. She holds a PhD in Theatre & Performance Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and a MFA in Directing from the University of Memphis. A scholar/artist, Claire has published articles in Theatre, Dance and Performance Training, Theatre Topics, Youth Theatre Journal, and is a former Education Director of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival in Nashville, TN.
