Courtney Bailey Parker

Courtney Bailey Parker is an actor, writer, and literature/theatre professor based in the St. Louis area. She earned her PhD in English Renaissance Literature from Baylor University in 2016, with a research specialty in the plays of William Shakespeare and performance studies. She also holds an MA in English from Baylor, with a concentration in modern and contemporary drama, and she is a proud alum of Mercer University for her BA in English. Her academic writing has appeared in Mississippi Quarterly, Literature and Belief, Cahiers Elisabethains, ANQ, Praxis, and elsewhere. As an actor, she has worked in Austin, Atlanta, and St. Louis.

Dr. Bailey Parker is an Assistant Professor of English and Theatre Studies in Greenville University’s Center for Visual Culture and Media Studies (CVCMS), where she teaches courses in theatre history, Shakespeare, British literature, writing, and dramatic literature.
