
Cynthia DeCure is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at California State University, Stanislaus. She is an actress, voice, speech and dialects coach certified in both Knight-Thompson Speechwork® and as Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, and coached actors for theatre and film. She has taught at CalArts, UC Santa Barbara, USC and CSU Los Angeles. She is a member SAG/AFTRA, and Actors Equity. Some acting credits include: The Mambo Kings, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Days of Our Lives, The Bold & The Beautiful, General Hospital, All My Children, as well as numerous commercials and theatre. Cynthia serves as the VASTA diversity chair and on the Latinx Theatre Commons Steering Committee. She has presented at conferences in Chicago, Washington D.C., London and Montreal on empowering underrepresented voices. She is currently co-editing the upcoming book, Scenes for Latinx Actors: Voices of the New American Theatre, due later this year.
