Diane Timmerman is Producing Artistic Director of Heartland Actors’ Repertory Theatre. HART appearances include Emilia in Othello, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice. Other acting credits include August: Osage County, Next Fall, November and Bug at the Phoenix Theatre, Spinning into Butter at Ohio’s Human Race Theatre, Beautiful Thing at the Human Race and the Phoenix, Angel Street at the IRT, and American Clock and Doctor Faustus at Chicago’s Court Theatre. Film credits include The Package with Gene Hackman and Amanda for Indy’s Adrenaline Motion Pictures. A Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, Diane is Professor and Chair of Theatre at Butler University. Her books include Spare Scenes: 60 Skeletal Scenes for Acting and Directing and ninety-minute Shakespeare adaptations for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo & Juliet. Diane is a grateful two-time recipient of the Arts Council of Indianapolis Creative Renewal Fellowship.
