Donatella Galella is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production at the University of California, Riverside. Her book-in-progress historicizes Arena Stage, the first professional regional theatre of Washington, DC, and its negotiations of what it means to be non-profit, black, and US American.
