Jaster is Associate Director of The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics, where she works with international artists in politics and performance and specializes in physical expression and communication.
Jaster is Associate Director of The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where she works with international artists at the intersection of politics and performance and applies the skills of the stage for the sake of diplomacy and advocacy. Her work onstage, in the world, and in the classroom focuses on the cross-cultural and humanizing potential of performance, specializing in physical expression and communication. She teaches at The Shakespeare Theater Company’s Academy of Classical Acting, and is an Associate Artist of Heartbeat Opera in NYC. She has studied and made work in France, India, Taiwan, China, Poland, Italy, Palestine, and Senegal, working with artists from South Africa, Rwanda, the Philippines, Vietnam, Venezuela, Russia, Armenia, and more.
