Francis Miller (They/Them) is a transgender nonbinary theatre maker and performer whose work primarily focuses on the dangers and struggles faced by the queer and transgender citizen in the United States.

Francis Miller (They/Them) is a transgender nonbinary theatre maker and performer whose work primarily focuses on the dangers and struggles faced by the queer and transgender citizen in the United States. Francis has been a professional actor and performer for over a decade, and recently received their Masters in Fine Arts Degree in New Work Creation from the Ohio State University. In addition to interrogating the experience of the queer and transgender individual, Francis’ solo performance work often grapples with complex topics of medical and political bureaucracy (Advancement, 2019), queer exodus from rural communities (The Botanist, 2022), and the epidemic that is the murder of transgender people (Dive: Reflex, 2023). Their most recent work, Body of the State, investigates their own struggle to receive gender-affirming care. Francis is currently based in Chicago, Illinois. They are based in Chicago, IL.
