G. Venu is a performer, teacher, researcher of ancient Sanskrit drama traditions and the founder of Natanakairali Arts (Irinjalakuda) where he leads 'Navarasa Sadhana' workshops, a transformative process for performers seeking a deeper insight to the depths and diversity of human emotions.

G. Venu is a performer, teacher and scholar of Kutiyattam and a senior disciple of Guru Ammannur Madhava Chakyar. He has devised 'Navarasa Sadhana' module as a transformative process for performers seeking a deeper insight to the depths and diversity of human emotions. He is the Chairman of Natanakairali and Ammannur Chakyar Madhom in Irinjalakuda, Kerala, India. He has invented a dance notation system for delineating mudras in dance and theatre in Kerala.  He is the author of numerous books on Sanskrit theater traditions including MUDRA - The Language of Kutiyattam, Kathakali and Mohiniyattam'
