Gideon Lester

Gideon Lester is Artistic Director for Theater & Dance at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, where he is also Director of the undergraduate Theater & Performance Program. He is the co-curator of Crossing the Line, a cross-disciplinary international arts festival in New York City. For thirteen years he worked at the American Repertory Theater, as Dramaturg, Associate Artistic Director, and Acting Artistic Director at the American Repertory Theater. Before coming to Bard, he was on faculty at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where he founded and directed the Arts Collaboration Lab.
