Hallie Gordon

Hallie Gordon is the Artistic and Educational Director of Steppenwolf for Young Adults.   For Steppenwolf Theatre Company  Hallie has created and facilitated many educational programs. For Steppenwolf Theatre she has directed  a world premiere adaption of  Animal Farm,  The Book   Thief,   To Kill a Mockingbird,  a  new adaption of   House on Mango Street,   Harriet Jacobs, and  The Bluest Eye  which won the Black Excellence Award from the African American Arts Alliance of Chicago, and transferred Off-Broadway to The New Victory Theatre. Hallie has directed at many theatres throughout Chicago and has produced  and commissioned dozens of new plays for Steppenwolf for Young Adults.   Hallie is  the recipient of The Helen Coburn Meier & Tim Meier Achievement Award.
