James J. Hodge is Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University He is current book project is Animate Archaeology: New Media and the Aesthetics of History, a book-length study of the significance of animation for expression of historical temporality in digital media aesthetics. His essays include "Love is All Around: Contemporary Art and Atmospheric Media," for the upcoming exhibition More Love at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill's Ackland Art Museum. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2011.
