Jesse Portillo Jesse is a freelance Lighting Designer based in Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Lighting Design from Indiana University, and a BFA from the University of Utah. Design credits include productions for Pioneer Theatre Company, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, Ancram Opera House, LOOK Musicals, New Century Dance, Repertory Dance Theater, Samba Fogo, PURE Theatre, and Mobile Opera. He frequently designs at the Salt Lake Acting Company, and was the Resident Lighting Designer at Plan-B Theatre Company for 10 seasons. He is an active member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, and a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
