In addition writing theater criticism for Seattle Weekly and Backstage, John wrote the "Longenbaugh on Theatre" column for the Weekly from 2006 to 2008. His plays include Scotch and Donuts, How To Be Cool, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol, and the mystery The Sound in the Other Room, opening at Tacoma's Dukesbay Theatre this autumn.
