Jon Levin is a director, performer, puppeteer, and theater-maker. He is the Co-Artistic Director of Sinking Ship Productions.
Jon Levin is a theater director, performer, puppeteer, and the co-Artistic Director of Sinking Ship Productions. Recent directing/co-creation credits include The 7th Voyage of Egon Tichy at New York Theatre Workshop. Jon performed and co-created A Hunger Artist for which he was Nominated for two Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Solo Performance and Outstanding Puppet Design at the Connelly Theatre and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Lustrum Award for Excellence, Summerhall). Directing credits include Powerhouse at the New Ohio Theatre (NYTimes Critics Pick) in 2014, Cassandra, An Agony at the J. Paul Getty Museum in 2022 and There Will Come Soft Rains at FringeNYC (Excellence Award for Outstanding Direction). Jon is also a founding member of the the Krumple Theatre Company, based in Oslo, Norway, with whom he has co-created/performed shows throughout Norway and beyond. Jon is a graduate of the École Internationale de Théâtre de Jacques Lecoq and holds a BA in theater and neuroscience from Oberlin College.
