Jonathan Bradshaw

Jonathan Bradshaw is a PhD candidate in Composition & Rhetoric at Miami University of Ohio. Jonathan teaches courses on rhetoric and writing, digital production, and teacher training. He has worked as Assistant Director of Composition at both Appalachian Sate University and Miami University of Ohio. He is also the Communications Team leader for the new Urban Appalachian Community Coalition in Cincinnati, OH. Jonathan is from rural, eastern NC and his research is inspired by the creativity and diversity in rural roots. His research focuses on intersections between cultural rhetorics, digital circulation, and technical communication. His dissertation research explores the rhetorical strategies Appalachian civic organizations use to communicate across online and offline communities, and seeks to develop useful heuristics for other culturally-based organizations creating interventions in and beyond a cultural region. Jonathan also plays clawhammer banjo for community performances and square dances with Jericho Old Time Band in Southwest OH.
