Katherine McGerr

Katherine McGerr is a director, dramaturg and teaching artist who is currently an assistant professor of acting at Syracuse University. Directing credits include: Measure for Measure (Playmakers / PATP), Building the Wall (Chautauqua Theater Company), A Dream Play (Allegheny College), Laura and the Sea (Syracuse University), Hedda Gabler (Yale School of Drama), Dutchman (Yale Cabaret), Seagulls (Long Wharf NextStage). Dramaturgy credits include Dancing at Lughnasa (Juilliard), Arcadia (Chautauqua Theater Company), The Price and the East Coast premiere of Donald Margulies’ Shipwrecked!... (Long Wharf). She has held artistic staff positions at Chautauqua Theater Company, Playwrights Realm, and Yale Repertory Theater and teaching positions at Chautauqua Institution and Allegheny College. She holds a BA from Columbia University and an MFA in directing from Yale School of Drama.
