Kiyoko McCrae

Kiyoko McCrae is a cultural organizer, theater director and musician. She is Managing Director of Junebug Productions, a New Orleans theater company dedicated to producing and presenting theater that supports African Americans in the Black South. She is also a member of Voices Organized in Creative Dissent (VOIC'D), a collective that produces theater exploring the intersection of education and racism. She has worked with El Puente, a Latino community-based organization in Brooklyn, NY and United for Peace and Justice, the nation's largest anti-war coalition. Kiyoko received her BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied community-based theater with Jan Cohen Cruz.
