Leda Hoffmann

Leda Hoffmann is the Director of Community Engagement at Milwaukee Repertory Theater and a freelance theatre director. Leda came to Milwaukee Rep in 2010 after working with Hartford Stage’s Education Department as a teaching artist and director. Today, her work at Milwaukee Rep over the past six seasons spans three departments—Education, Artistic, and Community Engagement. As the founding director of Milwaukee Rep’s Community Engagement department, Leda spearheads all community engagement efforts, including the launch of Mpact and the creation of the Community Conversations program—seen for the first time at The Rep with Act II for American Song. As a director, Leda’s work has been seen at Milwaukee Rep, Illinois Shakespeare, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Renaissance Theatreworks, Door Shakespeare, Riverside Theater, World’s Stage Company, Luminous Theatre, and the Alchemist Theater. Leda is a proud graduate of Grinnell College (BA Theater and Dance), a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab 2012, and Chicago Directors Lab 2013.
