A tawny mix of Ojibway/Swampy Cree and English/Irish, Lisa raises her hands to her Coast Salish relatives for hosting her in their territory/ Vancouver for over 25 years. She has worked across Turtle Island with diverse theatre companies, establishing herself as a multi-hyphenate artist, creator and writer, Jessie nominated actor, dramaturge, director, and dancer. She supplements her somewhat eclectic practice of theatre and community collaborations with the delights of motherhood and the challenges of self-produced works. Lisa is an Associate Artist with Full Circle: First Nations Performance, a member of Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, and playwright-in-residence with Delinquent Theatre. She holds undergraduate degrees from TWU and SFU’s School for the Contemporary Arts and is currently in her second year of graduate studies at Queens University.
