Lisa Leaverton

Lisa Leaverton is a writer, teacher and collaborative theatre artist and director. (inquire within) ensemble is a venue for exploration of interests in experiential theatre composed of small moments, and linguistic environments in which poetic language, including language fragments and vocalizations combine as aural experience. Sound exploration through ensemble work results in works which are less reliant upon theatre technology and more reliant upon presence and the potential of energetic contribution of audience.

Recent project, Suite Limpet, a collaboration with Dru Colbert in Otter Creek, Maine combined sculpture, performance, music, and science. 



Lisa completed her MFA in playwriting at the University of Iowa and her Bachelor of Music at Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University. Most recently, Lisa taught performance and theatre at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine.
