Margarita Kompelmakher

Margarita Kompelmakher is a theatre professor, writer, and community engagement manager based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Margarita Kompelmakher is a Mellon/ACLS Public Fellow the Community Engagement Manager at the Alliance Theatre, where she runs programs that connect theater to issues that matter most to communities across Atlanta. She holds a PhD in Theatre Historiography from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her writing on political theater and human rights theater appears in Modern Drama and various scholarly anthologies.
