Marianna Mott Newirth

A New York librettist, writer & creative producer who generates new works for the stage and the mind.

Marianna Mott Newirth is a New York librettist, writer & creative producer. Her numerous commissioned short opera works have been performed from Toronto to Munich. She’s edited for the International Association for Music and Medicine online journal, serves as President for the New York Opera Alliance and is Executive Director for dell’Arte Opera Ensemble. Marianna has volunteered on a number of not-for-profit boards including the National Federation for Business and Professional Women and the YMCA Camps. Currently, Marianna is co-writing ‘touch’ - a full length opera with composer Carla Lucero - on the radical life of Helen Keller. She also runs the production company 17 to the 6th Media with her husband, photographer Scott Newirth, where they produce visual content for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
