Michael Dixon

Michael Bigelow Dixon teaches on the faculty at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. He’s edited thirty-five volumes of plays and criticism and authored Breaking from Realism: A Map/Quest for the Next Generation. He’s worked as Literary Manager and Associate Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Literary Director at the Guthrie Theater, and Resident Director at The Playwrights’ Center. He’s directed world premiere productions of works by Naomi Wallace, Steven Dietz, and Julie Marie Myatt. He has also co-authored two dozen plays.
