Michael Watson, MA, Ph.D., LCMHC, is a visual and performance artist, storyteller, psychotherapist, educator, and disability activist based in Burlington, Vermont.

Michael Watson, MA, Ph.D., LCMHC, is a visual and performance artist, storyteller, psychotherapist, educator, and disability activist based in Burlington, Vermont. Michael was raised with a mixed European and Indigenous identity, without tribal membership. As a child he survived polio, and now lives with Post Polio syndrome. He taught at Burlington College for over 35 years, where he was Dean of Students for six years. His research interests include socially engaged arts practice, disability studies, shamanic healing, medicalized colonialism, neoliberalism and the environment, and the intersection of Indigenous Identity and disability.  He blogs on these topics at https://michaelwatsonvt.wordpress.com
