Michael Williams

Michael Williams is a director, performer, educator and Producing Director of The AntiGravity Theatre Project. Recently, his work has been seen at La MaMa E.T.C. (Yermedea as part of Erik Ehn's Soulographie), 95 Empire & Trinity Rep (Co-Director of Behind Closed Doors, a devised work written and performed by 15 survivors of domestic violence through a partnership between Trinity Rep's Education Department and the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence).

Michael is the recipient of the Weston Award for Excellence in Directing for his multimedia musical production of William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain. From 2010 to 2011, Michael was the Box Alexander Community Engagement Fellow in the Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship Program at Arena Stage, where he taught, directed and devised new, ensemble-based work in the DC public schools. He is proud to serve as the Education Outreach Coordinator at Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI.
