Nathaniel French

Nathaniel French is an actor and playwright currently based in New York City. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, he recently completed Milwaukee Repertory Theatre’s acting internship, where his credits included ensemble and understudy roles throughout the season.

Nathaniel’s full-length play Meltdown appeared as part of SMU’s annual “New Visions, New Voices” festival, and he is currently developing his newest play, Uther. At SMU, his independent research focused on Russian and Soviet theater. A freelance journalist, Nathaniel has contributed to the Books, Opinion, Perspective, and Weekend pages of The Tampa Bay Times and served for three semesters as the Opinion Editor of SMU’s Daily Campus. For his work at The Daily Campus, Nathaniel received several awards including an honorable mention in the Associated Collegiate Press’s “Story of the Year” competition.

Nathaniel’s other interests include chivalric romance, pure mathematics, the Tampa Bay Rays, and pepperjack cheese.
