Nelda Reyes

Nelda Reyes is a Portland-based theatre artist who has studied with the Moscow Art Theatre School Institute of Harvard University, Teatro Línea de Sombra, and the University of Guadalajara. Nelda has served as a director, dramaturg, and translator for both theatre and opera in Mexico and the US; and has directed various plays at Miracle Theater. Nelda is a co-creator of Leyendas de Mexico, an educational touring program based on pre-Colombian tales. She is also a founding member of Nuestro Canto, a group dedicated to the preservation of Mexican art and culture. Originally from Mexico City, Nelda received her Master’s Degree in Theatre from Portland State University.
