Olga Garay-English

Over the last 35 years, Olga Garay-English has earned a national and international reputation as an arts administrator and performing arts producer, presenter, and consultant. She served for seven years as the Director of Cultural Affairs at Miami Dade College. She was the founding Program Director for the Arts at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation in New York City. She has consulted on the presentation of festivals and programs with the Lincoln Center Festival, Chile’s Fundación Teatro a Mil, France Los Angeles Exchange, among others. Most recently, she was Executive Director of the Ford Theatres in Hollywood, CA. She was named a Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications and received a Bessie award, among many other honors. From 2007 to 2014, she was Executive Director of the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs. She currently serves on the International Presenting Commons, a program of HowlRound, and the LA Arts Recovery Fund, which recently awarded $38.5 million to small and mid-sized arts organizations facing Covid related issues.
